Sure this sounds like a cop out, and this excuse is more or less one, but I'm establishing some kind of ethical spin on this. Fret not, for there is a second, more legitimate, reason.

As you probably already know, the dude who worked on it from the start, kazenokanta, is on hiatus, and thus I'm left to work on it. While I was perfectly fine with this from the start, I had no idea what I was getting myself into. Long story short, handling two monthlies at the same time will shorten my life, or well this specific monthly.

Kanta worked on Gate 07 because he loved CLAMP. I am not a CLAMP-otaku (I'm neutral to CLAMP), so I can't power through it with the same enthusiasm and instead feel excruciating pain (as I've learned while working on this here chapter, it took me twice as long to finish it as it normally would). I hope you guys understand my plight here, and I do apologize for just pulling the rug under you.

Should there be another group that picks this series up between now and July, best of luck to them.
