Or word of the day? I don't know. XD I just felt like sharing some of my favorite words.

Defenestration-to throw something out of a window

...And who here, after reading these words, knows what Demyx Time is?

i just don't know what the hell those words meant.. O.O and what is the meaning of demyx time?

....Those are real words? *googles them*

If they were random words ya came up with, then sure... But those were real???

Some people try too hard to get new words into the dictionary no one would use @_@

defenestration is for somebody xD the first time I've seen this word is in "Scream" If my remember is good, it's Sarah michel gellar who was defenestred xD

Actually, defenestration is quite commonly used in history books. It normally refers to throwing someone out of the window, not something. Since there are many examples in history of people being murdered that way, the term was created.

And here's my word of the day. It's one of the very rare English words that originates in Japanese, but is not commonly associated with Japan at all.

The word is tycoon.

It comes from taikun, the title Japanese shoguns used for themselves in diplomatic correspondence. "Tai" in taikun means "big" or "great", and "kun" is actually very familiar to any reader of manga as a name suffix, usually for boys. One of its now obsolete meanings is "monarch, ruler, sovereign".

I've heard of this word a few years back and heard it again recently (in my English class.) It's real.

I can only think of bombilation and Variant Creutzfeldt-Jakob. I learned about bombilation in science class (buzzing sounds) and VCJ from googling my name. I got sad when I found out it wasn't so special because it was nicknamed "Mad Cow Disease".
